I cannot find the entries about licences listed earlier. But I have great news and good news. The Gr8 news is that MV have listened to the masses. The GOOD NEWS is that Vic. licence cost have been REDUCED to only $280 from the previous announced cost of $350. I hope you spend the saving carefully.

| Thank you Alan, I am not too sure what caused the change but I think there may have been others involved as well. The small group who is putting a case for the 3 event open licence is continuing their effort and I shall keep you posted. |

Congratulations John, well done, and thanks to any others who helped. Hope we are successful with the three event licence. In discussions with someone up here, they pointed out that the reason for the high cost of the CAMS licence wasn't due to insurance costs. It was primarily due to adminstrative costs, salaries and jaunts. I don't know what the situation is with MA/MV, however I suggest we should always look for value for money. Best Regards, |

| Motorcycling Vic has just forwarded a letter dated Feb 17 2003 advising that inaddition to the annual fee a Rider Insurance levy is additionally payable for each event. Road Racing $5. Supercross $30, FreeStyle $100. A full explanation of the matter may be available for publication if I can work the electronics. |
