The AUSTIN 7 club is in a position to contribute to the costs involved for riders of quality 1950's solos who are prepared to enter late the meeting on May 31 / June 1. This action is occurring because they wish to improve the quality and numbers of these types of particular machines, and since numbers are down a special effort is being put in place to entice the machines along. We are looking for suggestions of potential riders or machines who fit the criteria as follows.
- Entry must be a new one
- Exotic 1950 - 1962 solo machines are preferred
- subject to the offers we obtain other machines may be considered if there are special in the eyes of the organisers. Dont forget the Secretary is a modest sidecar rider with known preferences.
- The Club decision about eligibility will be final and not subject to discussion as the machines must fit the criteria set and fill holes in the program which are too detailed to explain.
Late entries will be taken.
Preference will go to works machines, Porcupine AJs, MV,s, Manx's etc. A total of 20 extra machines are sought.
John Daley 03 9888 5297 is the contact or email preferably if you can and give details of your offer.

Hi All
I think my bike is special! but as allways it's not in the period that are wanted for the week-end, I think bikes which are "not" Period 3 should be on equal footing with the Classic's!! It has & allway seems to myself & plenty of people that Period 3 is the only "Class Wanted" & the rest are just making up numbers until these views are changed both Spectators & Sponsors will stay away!!

This is not a case of the P3 being special at the expence of the other classes. The other classes are welcome at the meeting up to P5 and many have attended, but there are more who have not entered for their own reasons, please tell me why. But some of the P3 bikes are getting thin on the ground because of age, collector value etc. This offer is only open to particular machines that fit the bill, but BSA's ,trumpies and common stuff are not being sought. The aim is to attract/ assist the special works bikes of the period back on to the track at a meeting set up to present the trully Historic stuff. Currently these machines are not turning up and the challenge is to get them, just as some of the old specials from the carries are sought after as well. Thrust me I am a sidecar rider.
