Vale Barry Sheene. Its the news no one wanted to hear.

Carl Foggarty has summed things up pretty well in his tribute,

"He packed more into his 52 years than most people put into 100 years"

I'm sure the sympathy and thoughts of the whole motorcycling community go out to Stephanie, Sidonie & Freddie.

I still feel horribly sad, Al. I can't believe we'll never see his cheerful face again. He was really special - an honorary Aussie.
Some people are like that; others, you wouldn't miss at all, and they live to a ripe old age.
He took a courageous decision in refusing surgery and chemotherapy.
It was the right decision - there is no quality of life if you take that path.
