I need feed back about the preferred date for these. Traditionally they have been held early Dec. but that has now become a busy time of the year. August / september is quiet but possibly wet and end of March would fit between the Island Classic and Historic Winton. Can you please give me your thoughts so the committee can plan them. Thanks in anticipation.

why change the date? most people budget for race meeting's and if change of date is made can cause them problems wot would happen i you changed the date of the melbourne cup!! **** would fly. like now that mack park is off the calandar for a while look at some of their dates "if" you have to change rember this is NOT a HMRAV race meeting BUT a STATE title meeting which has a formate as per MA rules! |

| Good point Alan, but as Secretary i am getting lots of comments about the busy calendar at the end of the yearand Hartwell have said they have had trouble getting fields. The earlier dates are in a less congested part of the year. Its no good maintaining a potentially un popular date for the sake of it. I note your comment about the Melbourne cup, but the Vic. Titles dont have plane loads of people arriving for them yet. Perhaps a change of date may assist with that. Then we need to get an airstrip at Broady to cater for the bigger crows, that would be good. |

TROPHY OFFER Committee members, I have had a call from a group Friends of Harold Carter, they have provided a trophy each year for an unlimited classic solo race winner, they have done this since 1986 and would like to continue the offer if we take over the event. It is not a plastic trophy and Guesty was really pleased to win it a couple of years ago. JUST FOR INFORMATION |
