I have listed a report I have written for the HMRAV "COMBINED MANAGEMENT COMMITTEES MEETING REPORT
On Wednesday 8 April 2003, I attended on behalf of the Historic Management Committee to discuss matters with all disciplines and the Executive The salient points in my mind are as follows · License numbers are actually increasing · Classic Motocross is loosing numbers because they will not accept later model machines · Some disciplines are concerned about license fees · Management committees suggestted that an annual raffle be run for say a tow vehicle to raise funds for Broadford maintenance · Dirt blokes may be interested in running a swap meet at Broadford during the Southern Classic · Licensing of all officials is a requirement forced on Motorcycling by the Australian Sports Commission. · There is a possibility that low level officials, flaggies, scrutineers and similar may be able to attend a short course · It is recommended that all official start by filling in an application form · If HMRAV is to run a Regularity trial at Harrow, the GCR’s will need to be amended to include such an event."
JOHN DALEY What are your thoughts on any matter?

Whatever happened to the Historic Road Racing lovefest which was supposed to be held at Tullamarine Airport in March? Whoever books the conference room gets enough frequent flyer points to get to Auckland! Surely that's enough incentive to get MV motivated?
Alan, the love fest involves MA not MV. Any suggestions of corruption with frequent flyers points are really out of order. The forum idea is progressing but has been delayed by log books and some others issues relating to an appeal against a stewards report. Unfortunately good ideas sometimes get held up by other administrative matters. I am informed that it is on the agenda, and I do keep asking and pushing for action.
