I was wondering who has the best BHP .have you had your bike on a dyno ,whats it putting out .I have a 250 LC with everething on you can get and it puts out 59 bhp at the back wheel not bad for a 23 year ond 250 bike . WHAT DOES YOURS DO .might be intoresting to see what theys old bikes are doing dont you think .

This horsepower thing is very deceptive. I was talking to one of our old A graders at a historic meeting the other day. He showed me a dyno chart for a 600cc Manx he races. The bike is on methanol, and the best power output was only 44 BHP. He actually raced against the Inca riders at Eastern Creek near Sydney last year, and he said no Aussie rider could get near them. I understand 500cc Andy Molnar manxes turn out 55 BHP, and the 500cc Nourish engines used in the Seeleys turn out 59BHP. I can believe these figures.

Are you talking RWHP--BHP or Wot. Do you know the difference and engine or where is the power reading taken from , engine crank? gear box out put RW they all give different readings

Allan I would have to disagree .what the bike puts out at the back wheel is the power that drives the bike and there for is the true BHP .If you have clutch slip,worn/tight gear box internals, primary drive problems then your BHP will be down thats not the bikes falt fix it and it'll be back up once more.Just the same as the more you tune it the better it gets as well .
