Get ready for the 7th and 8th September this year when the Queensland Historic Championships (up to Period 4) will be run at an all-new venue at Morgan Park, Warwick. The current 1.2 km track is being extended to 3.3 km - and what a track it'll be. It's got heaps of variety, up and down, sweepers, tight stuff, and lots of run-off. It's 5 km away from Warwick so no noise problems. We are promoting the meeting as a carnival of racing and will be promoting it widely to motorcycling clubs. The aim is to create the sort of racing atmosphere that Bathurst had years ago. We can camp there, and there'll be night-time entertainment.
A big incentive for southern riders is that the venue is three hours closer than Lakeside, which is on the north side of Brisbane (Warwick is close to the border on the New England Highway). So get this one into your diaries and get back to me if you want to be included on the mailing list. I'll post more information as it becomes available.
